BARRA VIEJA
Acceso por el Blvd. de las Naciones, por una desviación a la derecha antes de llegar al Aeropuerto.
Off the airport highway, approximately 27 kilometers. away from Acapulco. Extensive beach popular among residents and visitors surrounded by small restaurants where "pescado a la talla" can be enjoyed; you can also rent a horse or an all terrain vehicle and ride along the sandbar admiring a beautiful sunset. Boat rides along the Tres Palos Lagoon depart from here.
CALETA Y CALETILLA
Frente a la Isla de la Roqueta; acceso por la Av. Costera Miguel Alemán y Adolfo López Mateos.
Ubicadas en la zona de Caleta en el llamado Acapulco Tradicional. Estas playas se convirtieron en el centro de entretenimiento y diversión tanto de estrellas del cine nacional como del cine internacional durante los años 50's y 60's. Se encuentran resguardadas en forma natural por la Isla de la Roqueta que evita las corrientes del Océano Pacífico, otorgándole a estas playas la característica de un oleaje tranquilo y poca profundidad, ideal para la familia, las divide un islote donde se encuentra el Mágico Mundo Marino.
CONDESA
Acceso por la Av. Costera Miguel Alemán.
Situated in the heart of the bay in Acapulco‘s golden zone. Known for its great tourist and commercial business. Its surf varies from regular to strong making an ideal beach for those who enjoy buggy boarding. Its festive atmosphere makes it a great place for meeting and making new friends plus you will find a wide array of bars and restaurants offering their services from the early afternoon hours promising lots of fun from sunrise to sunset.
EL SECRETO
BRISAS GUITARRON.
Known as the most beautiful beach in the bay because of its exclusive location, letting you enjoy unequal tranquility. Situated in Playa Guitarron, Fracc. Las Brisas Guitarron (Park Royal Hotel)
GUITARRON
Al sur de la Base Naval, acceso por el Fracc. Playas Guitarrón.
Located South of the Naval Base, these smaller beaches are at the foot of rock formations where abundant vegetation surrounds beautiful beach homes.
HONDA
Acceso por la Av. Costera Miguel Alemán y Manzanillo.
Next to Playa Manzanillo is Playa Honda, with coarse sand, a soft slope, and gentle waves with many fresh sea food restaurants available.
HORNITOS
Al este de la playa Hornos y al noroeste de la bahía de Acapulco.
Located in front of Las Hamacas Hotel, Hornitos is the main working place of local fishermen, who very early in the mornings drop their nets and towards midday pull them out filled with a large variety of species attracting gulls and pelicans trying to catch a free meal, setting up a singular spectacle.
HORNOS
Al noroeste de la bahía de Acapulco.
This is the beach to be at when it comes to spending a great time with your family and friends and play miniature golf. It is a fine sand beach with its surf ranging from soft to moderate. Watching seagulls and pelicans in search of their catch is a very common sight at this beach.
ISLA DE LA ROQUETA
1 Km. al sur de las Playas Caleta y Caletilla, para el punto de partida de la embarcación.
Algo típico entre los paseantes de Acapulco es el recorrido a la Isla de La Roqueta a través de lanchas de fondo de cristal que permiten conocer la gran variedad de especies marinas existentes en la bahía, además de apreciar la imagen sumergida de la Vírgen de los Mares, patrona de los pescadores, ubicada a un costado del islote rocoso llamado La Yerbabuena. La Roqueta se eleva sobre el mar a la entrada de la bahía y posee agradables playas en su parte norte y un faro en la cima.
ICACOS
En el extremo oriental de la Av. Costera Miguel Alemán.
Running from El Presidente Hotel to The Hyatt Regency. One of the biggest beaches in Acapulco, very close to the Navy Base, in which you can delight with surf ranging from calm to regular depending on where you are.
LA ANGOSTA
Acceso por la Av. Costera Miguel Alemán y López Mateos.
Near La Quebrada. It is a coarse sand beach with a soft slope and soft waves. It is an ideal place to snorkel. There are many fresh sea food restaurants as well as a parking lot.
MAJAHUA
Acceso por el Blvd. de las Naciones y desviación a la derecha en la glorieta de Puerto Marqués.
This is a calm water beach because of its bend in Puerto Marques´ bay adequate for the whole family and water sports activities.
MANZANILLO
Acceso por la Av. Costera Miguel Alemán y Manzanillo.
Near the recreational yachts dock and next to Playa Honda. It has coarse sand, a soft slope, and gentle wave beach. It is surrounded by many fresh sea food restaurants. Used as a dry dock.
PAPAGAYO
FRENTE AL PARQUE PAPAGAYO Y ASTA BANDERA.
Located directly in front of the park that bears the same name This fine sand and gentle surf beach, preferred by beach goers, is marked by the monumental flag. Many sea food restaurants are also available.
PICHILINGUE
Acceso por el Blvd. de las Naciones y desviación a la derecha en la glorieta de Puerto Marqués.
Located in the interior of the beautiful bay of Puerto Marques, it is one of the most famous beaches of Acapulco. Here you can admire the impressive beach residences that belong to the rich and famous of Mexico and other parts of the world.
PIE DE LA CUESTA
Pie de la Cuesta.
Esta playa es conocida internacionalmente por sus espectaculares puestas de sol. Se encuentra situada a 10 kms. al noroeste de Acapulco por la carretera a Zihuatanejo. Por su ubicación respecto al Océano es mar abierto, y su oleaje tiende a ser excepcionalmente fuerte y tumultuoso. Posee gran longitud y una anchura de 60 a 80 metros, es de arena fina color café claro. En ocasiones, se convierte en una ruta normal de ballenas y delfines, haciendo de esta playa un marco inigualable, ideal para admirar la famosa puesta del sol. Cuenta con numerosos restaurantes y varios hoteles. Punto de partida para los recorridos por la Laguna de Coyuca. El lugar es sede de algunos eventos de surf.
PLAYA BONFIL
Acceso por el Blvd. de las Naciones, por una desviación a la derecha antes de llegar al Aeropuerto.
This beach, on the Barrra Vieja Highway, offers long beaches for walking or horse back riding. For those who like to get their adrenaline racing, this is a great surfing beach. Excellent sea food restaurants are also found here.
PUERTO MARQUÉS
Acceso por la carretera Escénica.
Se trata de una extensa bahía rodeada de montañas cubiertas de vegetación tropical, asiento de hermosas playas que permiten disfrutar del apacible oleaje del mar. Entre las más destacadas se encuentran Playa Marqués, Pichilingue y Majahua; ideales para la práctica de esquí acuático, el veleo y la pesca.
PUNTA DIAMANTE
5 km al suroeste de Puerto Marqués.
Este lugar forma parte del nuevo concepto del Gran Turismo de Acapulco que engloba grandes proyectos de construcción de importantes complejos turísticos. Posee una serie de hermosas playas de arena fina y oleaje fuerte que miran hacia el mar abierto, por lo que los deportes acuáticos deben practicarse con mucha precaución.
REVOLCADERO
Acceso por el Blvd. de las Naciones.
Located on this beach are The Fairmont Acapulco Princess and The Pierre Marques. Because it is part of the Pacific Ocean, it has a continuous strong surf as well as its undercurrent, reason enough to recommend extra precautions when going into its waters. Unique beach extending for many kilometers perfect for contemplating the ocean‘s magnificence.
TAMARINDOS
Al oeste de Playa Hornos. Acceso por la Av. Costera Miguel Alemán. Frente al hotel Aca Bay.
In front of The Aca Bay Hotel. A very popular beach among tourists and local people, with fine sand and a gentle to regular surf. Abundant palm trees offer their shade in most of this area. You can also see fishermen getting their catch ready for market. It is also a very popular site for sporting and musical events.
TLACOPANOCHA
Acceso por la Av. Costera Miguel Alemán.
Only a few steps away the main square. One of the residents favorite beaches because of the calmness of its waters, coarse sand, and soft slope.
